District 9! Just saw it!

I really liked the original premise of the movie and it had alot more action than I thought it would, overall very happy with it. Also raises issues about apartheid, discrimination and overall intolerance and a whole lot of ----spoiler-- guns that make bodies explode.

One thing though, I've read enough Arthur C Clarke books to be snobbish about things. The movie does not have some higher science fiction premise and some greater overall plan. Though it is hinted the ship is essentially a bunch of alien workman so it explains the lack of overall superiority.

I think the movie was never aliens bring knowledge to greedy humans but about social issues presented in an interesting way.

I have not seen the movie but it's gotten such good ratings so far and I've heard so many people rave about it...I have to see it soon!

It looks good. I've wanted to see it since I watched the trailor for it.

since the trailer i saw on late night tv i was like OMG MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!!! its good to have a review on it now, cuz i wanted some reviews before i went and spent the money to go see.

True I'm always on rotten tomatoes lookin at the reviews, why spend 9-6 dollars on something I will regret seeing? Mostly just looking at the trailers can tell me they are duds.

The guns were awesome! I was not expecting that much action either. The best part about the movie is that it makes you think and feel bad for the aliens. The originality is a major plus, along with no big celebrities trying to steal the screen.

I did not enjoy it that much - about 1/2 way threw I was like - COME ON!!!!!!! Just getting board. The last part was Much better but It just dident do much for me on the whole. I am easy when it comes to movies so this was a suprise to me! O well - My 2 cents

hmm. this is one of the few sci fi movies out this year that i am actually keen to check out. good to hear some good (and decent) reviews :3
