no doubt, i greatly wonder when the life of a fish is elevated to equal that of a person or even worse if a persons life is lowered to that of a fish

These fish are not "mixed race" but rather mixed species. It would be like a half man half chimp. Still, compairing fish to humans is a little extreme, but your oppinion and no less valid than the next. That being said, it is sad that they create these fish in the first place, let alone modify them. It is not really a new fad, tatooing parrots(as well as other fish) has been arround for a while. Arround valentines day, you can find some with thier tails cut off so they look like hearts, and mushy stuff written on them. The mortality rate is absurd, something like 1 out of 10 surviving the process and making it to the petstore.

Thread topic is tatooing fish - a cruel practice no doubt. Keep it on topic.

It will never get banned from the industry especially not when there is always demand due to lack of education on the part of most people who are starting with the hobby thinking they look "cool".

When that happens the dogs will revolt.
