making live rock

an old co-worker of mine onec explained how to make live rock out of cement but I ignored him because I was just to tired and had no intrest in SW. But I do remember him saying that he put the mixture into the back of his toilet bowl where the pump thing is and when ever some one would flush it would flush away the stagnent water and breing fresh water and exposing the rock to air for a few seconds. Does anyone know of this tech. or similar?:shake:
