I bought this Pleco a while back and just figured out that i have no idea what it is or needs. The guy at the lfs told me it was called a High Fin Spotted Pleco, and it wouldnt get any bigger than 8". Well ive had it for around 4-5 months now and hes already grown from around 4" to 7", so i doubt the info he gave me was correct. I found a great page that shows a pic of every pleco species, but im color blind so it was like finding a needle in a stack of needles lol

Heres a few pics of him. One of them is him chillin in his favorite corner. The other two are pics of his odd eating habits. He goes and finds the algae wafers and brings him back to his corner and lays on them, then he drops his fins and turns a light color to camo himself. He waits until its really soft then gobbles it down real quick. I tried to be ninja-like with the pics(since he was in camo mode), but i was spotted and warned not to come closer unless i was ready to rumble! Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics.
