Temperature Flux

What is bad Temp Flux....it's been a lil on the hot side here in Cleveland (90's for a week) and I have never had watch the temp before....it's always been at 77.0...but now it stays at 79.0 at night and 81.00 during te day...is this bad?

That's not bad at all. 77F is on the low side, while 79F - 81F is a much more common temperature range. A 2F temperature swing between day and night isn't going to hurt anything. Our reef tank frequently runs 81F - 83F during the summer months, and 79F - 82F during the rest of the year.

I run my tank at about 79F, during the course of the day it might swing from 78-81. If the temp changes a degree or two over the course of a few hours it should be fine.
