Bannana Plant?

I just got a 5 gallon bow front tank ( Basically a 5 gallon version of the eclipse systems) and was thinking about buying one of these plants. I howeve,r know nothing about growing aquatic plants. Would I have to add fertilizer to the tank or would the tetras that I plan on adding put enought nitrates into the water for one of these?

the banana will get nutrients from the water column so yeah youll want to add lliquid ferts. the tetra will provide enough waste for the plant to get nitrogen i would think.

Little fish castle....nothing living. I think I'll put bettas in it instead of tetras.
