i have a little golden mystery snail who got a little piece of java moss stuck on his shell and take root!! so now he goes cruisin aroung looking like my front lawn.and like my front lawn he gets mowed too!!! so whenever the moss gets too long i pull out my lawnmower(aka a pair of scissors) and give him a haircut!!!i was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else becuase i thought it was quite funny:lol:.

That's great! I had java moss growing on my heater for a while, I think it'll grow on almost anything.

I've heard of (and seen pics of) hair algae growing on them. Never moss before though.

that's just awesome! you should attach moss to all your snails and sell them to your lfs as a new species. they sure would do it to us!

oops i accidentally put him in with my canna who gave him an extra short hair cut......the canna was "like stop squirming!,i just want to eat you!!!",and macintosh was like "NOOOOO!!!"as he waved around his antennae. i had to cut his moss to match the part where fuji the canna chomped him cuz he looked kinda funny,like he had a spot where he was losing hair!!!

oh, oh, friar tuck snails sell like wildfire! it's the new craze. everyone wants one. it's the best thing since rock with purple string! oh how the kids just laugh and play with friar tuck all day. just imagine the versatility... i mean cummon it's a complete ecosystem in a shell. what self respecting water in a glass box keeper wouldn't want one for their office or work truck?

for kids we could call them fire truck snails and they'd be none the wiser.

Quite a few of my trapdoors have clado growing on thier shells. It is funny, because it is the only place in the tank that there is any algae :)

my apple gets algae growing on his shell regularly. it builds up until the bristlenose pleco takes a ride on his back for a bit. shamwow that shizzy
