I do not have planted tanks really but I do have a few plants, hornwort, pennywort, duck weed, java and peacock moss and most recently Asian Ambulia.
I have noticed after water changes the plants tend to die off a bit and I would like to be able to avoid that. I figure it is a lack of nutrient thing.
So I need something cheap, simple and safe to use with inverts and livebearers to add to the water on occasion.
Any recommendations? I have a hard time finding things around here since I dont even have a LFS that sells stuff like that. So if you have links to reputible safe places to get it from online I would love to see them. Thanks

Flourish, get it at almost any online dealer.
Hi Apples...here are a few online places you can by Flourish Excel by Seachem, www.thatfishplace.com (http://www.thatfishplace.com) , www.drsfostersmith.com (http://www.drsfostersmith.com) , www.petsolutions.com (http://www.petsolutions.com) , www.bigalsonline.com (http://www.bigalsonline.com) , www.aquariumdepot (http://www.aquariumdepot) or www.aquariadepot.com (http://www.aquariadepot.com) one of those two. Flourish Excel is not good for Anacharis or Vals from what I've read. It causes them to melt. I think theres another plant that falls into that category not sure which one. Anywho, do a price comparison and go with that online lfs. I like thatfishplace.com the most but you order from which ever you feel has the best prices. Good Luck. P.S. Flourish Excel does not harm any inverts or fish.

I was just looking at the ingredients on the Flourish Comprehensive and it contains a tiny bit of copper 0.0001% I am assuming that little amount is harmless to my snails? I have brigs and MTS.
I am always leery of buying things online unless I know they are a reliable place so thank you for the suggestions :)

I agree on the seachem recommendations. They're an easy way to get started when it comes to fertilizer dosing.

Flourish, hands down. You'll starting seeing results the very next day after the first dosing. I use Excel, Iron, and Potassium and love the results.
