I have a few scissortails in my tank and one of them has a cloudyness "INSIDE" of its body, not outside. It almost looks like a white fungus or cotton. It's seems to be in the upper part of its body and near its tail.

It is acting normally. I read something at the Skeptical Aquarist website that might lead me to believe that this may be bacterial, but he has had it for awhile and it doesn't seem to be affecting him adversly (yet)...............

Water Parameters:
pH 7.6-7.8
No nitrites or ammonia
nitrates at 40ppm
20L tank

Any Clues? And what should I do? I do have a hospital tank, but one of my cories is in it and has just finished up a 10 day maracyn treatment. I'm in the process of water changes in this tank, and I really don't want to move him to the community tank yet until I know he's better.

You have me stumped. My only advice would be not to worry about it if the fish is still behaving normal. An internal bacterial infection (especially one severe enough for you to see) would most likely be causing the fish stress. Enough so that the fish would be acting different than normal. Keep an eye on it and move it to quarantine if it does affect the fish adversly. Hopefully, your q-tank will be empty when/if it happens.

OK, I think I might have a picture of the scissortail in question:

Let's see if it works

The one in question is the one on the left. You can clearly see (hopefully) the cloudiness above the spine and also I would say that it's throughout the body.

What do you think?

If needed, I'll try to get a better picture. I've never seen anything like it......:(
