well at the biging of the summer i sold off my 30 gallon high tech planted along with most of my supplies, except for my regulator (SUMO) which i needed to fix, and scaled down to a 5.5 gallon planted (soon to be high tech) and a 4 gallon low tech set up that had been sorely neglected in my absence from home.
well yesterday i picked up a 20LC CO2 cylinder that i plan to use on my 5.5 gallon. i have also been working at a local pet store that has i nice selection of fish and was making me want to get another tanks.
well with the new cylinder i'm finally caving in and getting a 40 gallon breeder (always wanted one). now this wont happen fast. i plan to slowly get what i need (new filters and lights basically). but should be that long a process. the hard part will come when i have to pick out plants scape the thing and then get fish.
for filtration thinking two 2213 or one 2215 ether way i should be set on that aspect. lighting is going to be T5 HO's because i like them so much but this time i'm going to be getting good reflectors for them. the only thing i havent made a decision on is substrate but figure i'll figure it out based on how much cash i have left after i buy every thing else. stocking is not set yet though i was thing a nice school of something then a good center piece fish and some bottms dwellers once all the plants get established. also probably going to get some shrimp in there not sure what type yet.
this thread will be sort of a journal for this build and might not up date that constantly but figure it will be good for me to write it all down here for my self and get some input from other people.
any way here is the 20LB cylinder, i got it for $50 off craigslist so i consider it good deal. it's not exactly the nicest thing to look at but it works and thats all that maters
