According to Marineland, it's good for SG >1.010 but expect some die-off as SW bacteria is a different animal than FW.

I contacted Instant Ocean. They said its good, it may take a lil while longer, but it is useful. MSF its expensive as heck. 20 $ for a bottle that apparently cycles 30-40 gallons

Yeah, when adding to a tank your size, it can get quite pricey. But you have been cycling that tank for a while, right? So you'd not need as much as you would if you were starting frim scratch, just enough to boost the bacteria nuumbers you have to finish up the cycle. How are you cycling that tank anyway? (Sorry if this is posted elsewhere.)

It cycled my tank in <1 week. It's good stuff but I don't know if I'd use it again (due to price) unless it was an emergency.

Im cycling my tank using ammonia. Im not going to use to bio spira unless its an emergency and the tank needs to be cycled now.
