I planted my 10g a week or so ago... and nothing seems to really be doing well. I have 2wpg on it, running about 8 hours a day. I've been dosing Flourish once a week after a water change and I added a few seachem root tabs. The plants in my tank are Limnophila hippuroides, ludwigia, anachris, bronze wendtii, red melon sword, bacopa, pennywort, dwarf val, and dwarf hairgrass. The Limnophila died so I removed it. Everything else is just sort of "eh." The bottoms of the stem plants go brown and yucky, so I pinch them off and replant. Is that the right way to go? Is there anything else I should be pursuing?

I have 2 10w compact fluorescents in a previously incandescent hood. I don't have a timer or anything... is that what you mean?

I think 6500K... does not say on the bulb but that's what I could find online.. they are Lights of America 10w bulbs bought at Walmart (2110 AQN Self Ballasted Lamp it says on the label, 10w 120V 60Hz 180mA if that helps any)
