  he he!

I used fine flakes for my baby swords. Just pinch 'em in your fingers. Seemed to work...they grew...then escaped the basket and were eaten

you can buy 'liquid fry food...for livebearers'. I had used that with my mollies.

I feed mine crushed up flakes, it works fine. Don't just leave them at the top though, put them in the water and move it around, so they start to sink and the babies should instintivly go after it.

In addition, you may want to go back to the orginal aquarium and look for more babies. That is a very small number of babies fo a swordtail. Mine would normally give birth to about 20 - 30+. Try lifting up large rocks or plants and look underneath, thats where they like to hide.:)

and the ones that were 'dead' probly werent... ours stayed on the bottom for a whole day before they started swimming around, happily.

also: we got 60+ babies from a 1 1/2 inch swordtail, so you may want to look for more...

you could have a tank (10 gal++) and put some planted areas for the fry to hide and it should be fine.

livebearers populate very fast.
