Would two or one angelfish do good in a 25 gallon, the one in my sig,if it had a bn pleco, betta, and 6 kuhli loaches.

My temps could be raised but not lowered so I believe i would be good temp wise.

Are all angels snail eaters or is it just the temperment of the individual fish.

Ok, then i wont be getting a angel fish then, don't want to crowd the angel.

Iam just putting ideas out there.

May I ask why do angels and bettas don't get along is it size, temperment what?

I honestly wouldn't put a single angel alone in a 25. I would barely be comfortable doing that for qt. Angels need room. The betta just makes it that much worse. They might kinda get along for a little while, but it won't be long before one kills the other. You might be able to make that work, but it would need to be a much larger tank.

i know for a fact that breeders breed theres in clean bottom 20gal tanks, so a 25 would be fine for one the reason i'd not add any more is they'll get aggresive with each other in such a small area.

I'm keeping two angels in a 29g, heavily planted. They are doing very well. I don't plan on housing them there forever, but they have grown substantially since their introduction. You can see the pair in my avatar pic.

I have a 75g waiting in the wings....

But, i agree with not keeping them with bettas.

Breeders temporily keep pairs in 29s. Some temporarily keep them in 20s, but they will not do well in a 25 long term.

That tank is 15" tall. Add in a couple inches of gravel or sand, and a waterline that is not at the very extreme top of the tank, and you've got maybe a foot of water. An adult angel, with fins, can be 10-12 inches tall. They like to be able to move up and down a little.

I keep and raise angels.. the minimum tank size I recommend to keep angels is a 29.

it is tall enough(taller than a 30)
angels really don't utilize a ton of room.. they need more vertical room due to height of their fins.

I have them also in 55's and 75's.. in these tanks they tend to stake out territory and hang there.
again 29 is the minimum I recommend.
