there were some absolutly amazing OB peacocks at the auction and i almost bought a pair (until it sold for like $40 bucks) but i didnt because i didnt know if they were compatilble and i didnt want to spend $40 on some fish that would get killed. as most of you know, i plan on an mbuna tank, but could these be kept with mbuna?

Austin - For what it's worth, the peacocks and hap that I put in my mbuna tank a few weeks ago are doing great. Outside of the normal chasing and nipping, they are getting bigger and remain healthy. They are not being aggressive, but have held their own in that they have not been overly submissive. They swim about the tank and participate in the evening feeding frenzy, challenging others for food.

I had an issue with a Jacobfriedbergi harassing one of my female Labs to death. I only had 2 females at the time though so that probably played a part in it I'm sure. I guess she was close enough in coloration for him to want to breed with her. Otherwise the only issue is the dietary differences. Shouldn't be a problem so long as you stick to your high veggie foods and occasional brine/ mysis shrimp and bloodworm treats.

see what i had in mind was my chailosi, yellow labs, electiric blue johanni, possibly them chery reds. and the red t hongi that i had gotten recently.

I have a ton of OB peacocks out in my 500gal summer pond you want some babies i will send them to you when i pull them next month.. well there not babies more like bigger juvies..

IMO, OB peacocks can handle mbuna; because as ibr3ak said, they are hybrid peacocks (mbuna/peacock mix).

you got some pics of the OBs? cuz this one was show worthy.

Here are some of my ob's when they were younger, don't have any pics of when they were older though, the first one was really nice looking, grew longer fins and was a nice vibrant blue/red:

This one I later traded in, wasn't as colorful as the other one:

this one kinda reminded me of a chailosi. it had a blue head with a light blue body with yellow here and there and dark blue flecks.
