Hello I just found this site after searching all day for info on brackish water tanks. I really like this place and it has a lot to offer. I would really like to start up a brackish tank. I've had freshwater tanks for the past 15 years and want to try this. My biggest question is equipment mainley dealing with filters. What do you use? I'm looking at setting up 55 gal. I would like to go with some kind of eel setup but still researching what to put in it. Thanks.

Welcome to Aquaria Central! The best filter that I use (other than a wet dry which is used more for saltwater but still works fine in Brackish just costs a lot more than any other filter) for my Brackish tanks are the Emperor 400's. They are top of the line imo and should be fine for your brackish. I like to have over filtration so I always have 2 Emperor 400's on a 55 gallon. Anyway, I hope this helps and hope you enjoy your stay here!

Thanks for the reply. It gives me something to work from. I like to over filtrate to so this helps alot. Now comes the fun part of trying to get all the parts together and working.
