I have decided against getting a scott's velvet wrasse. They can apparently lose some of their coloration if you keep them singly.

I am planning for a flameback angel, fridmani pseudochromis, and a maroon clown for my 55g. I intend to get the angel introduced first followed by the pseudochromis and then the maroon (at last two weeks between each addition).

Can anyone suggest another species of fish to add into this mix? I am looking for something that will take flake and frost foods like the fish I have already decided on.

Kinda OT but I have solved the problems with my skimmer that I was having earlier on. It just needed to be run in and the tank needed to cycle. I can now get good foam produced without lots of bubbles going back into the tank. :) :D

I would say some good possibilities are a type of Cardinal like a Bangaii or PJ or Orange line or some other, or a type of jawfish if you have at least a 3 inch deep sand bed. Or also a small Halichoeres wrasse should also work like a little Golden or Green. Anyway, hope this gives you some ideas and hope this helps. Good luck.

Someone recommended a firefish to me. What do you think of that? The only concern seems to be that the other fish I am getting might be a little to aggressive for him to coexist with.
