I'm going to start EI dosing on my crypt tank this week. I'm thinking about doing it on another tank too but it's full of shrimp. I've read online that shrimp+copper=death but I've never actually heard from anyone with real experience. Does anyone here do EI dosing with shrimp? Any problems? Thanks!

Copper will kill inverts, but the concentration is very low in many ferts. For liquid ferts I dump directly on the shrimp and they scurry off. I have too many to see if theyre dying or not but Im pretty sure they arent

EI is safe for shrimp. I have used it on shrimp tanks for several years. You're going to have wonderful growth at a fraction of the cost of the bottles. You should have a good source and delivery system of Co2 to make use of the over abundance of nutrients. The system is great if you keep to the schedule.

I think that as long as you do your weekly 50% water changes that come along with EI you should be ok. one thing to be cautious of is how high you dose your nitrate as its not uncommon to see die-off or lack of reproduction in shrimp with nitrate levels over 15-20, so you may want to keep that in mind when figuring out your dosage.
