Hi people,

I received this plant as unidentified Ludwigia a couple months ago. It grows very quickly, and i like it. Now i would just like to know what it is! Please help.

i personally think it looks more like some sort of hygro.

hygro polysperma??? maybe?
i've never seen it in real life so i'm not positive

No variegation on the leaves in my tank. Also the leaves are broader on the polysperma.

looks like ludwiga repens x arcuata. can gain more color under proper lighting/co2

So you think its a hybrid? It actually has been coloring up real nicely. These just haven't grown up too near the surface yet. I'm running a DIY hood/CO2 and its flourishing.

whats your lighting??

the tops are starting to color up though so in no time you should see more orange to them.

I'm running 4 15w cfls over a 29g. I've trimmed and replanted 3 times w/this plant so far. The tops have been turning a rusty red. More yellow on the top side, and a deeper red on the undersides.

Ya, i'd say it is Ludwigia Repens x Arcuata.
