I have this bottom feeder who used to be a big wimp. When ever anyone came anywhere near the aquarium he'd swim and hide in his little hiding place. He never stayed out long for anyone. Then, last week, I got some more goodies for my aquarium which meant that I had to move some stuff around. I tried my hardest to leave him in his hiding space, but towards the end it became apparent that i had to move that piece. I picked it up and he freaked out. After swimming circles around the tank a few times he finally rested in the front right corner of the tank, in plain view of everything. He stayed there while I finished up and didn't leave when I was done. Now, he has yet to go back to his old hiding place and has found that he likes the front right corner. I walk by, he doesn't move, I feed the fish, he stays put. Its as if his whole demeanor has changed... I like it :)
