Well here it is. I haven't had a tank up and running for 6 or so years.Life, health, and wealth all forcing a drastic change in circumstance. A divorce three heart attacks and a bypass, as well as a back surgery still to come. I finally wound up in a place where I was encouraged to set up a tank.
So I got it together using the scraps of equipment that I had left from my previous life.
The tank is as follows:
Used 75 gallon angle iron stand (donated by my cousin)
Used 65 g acrylic tank that I kidnapped from a LFS going under
Red Sea Berlin skimmer driven by a Mag drive model 7 (thanks cuz) :headbang2:
Rainbow life guard Quiet one for circulation
60 or so pounds of dead live rock (stored since I broke down my 180 in '03)
30 g rubbermaid tub for a sump
Current 4 X 96w PC light fixture.
Various powerheads for circulation.
It's been up for about a week.
After a visit to an old haunt of mine ( a LFS) the owner was asked if i'd be interested in helping starighten out his store's salt central systems and 200g plus display reef. I agreed and things are looking up for my return to the hobby.
I'll post some pics soon enough.
