I originally planned on building this for some RCC's, but the tank that i used to have Kramer(my WTF) in got broken thanks to a curious squirrel(dont ask lol). So, i ended up using this tank for him. Ill eventually build one specifically for him and put RCC's in this one, though. Its a 20 tall and i built the waterfall, river, and background with styrofoam. I sealed it with a heavy layer of black silicone and a coat of inert lava sand, soil, and moss. The waterfall is a TF20 in tank filter that i modified, and its worked great so far. It has a Purple Angel Waffle plant, Mondo Grass, and i cant recall the name of the larger centerpiece plant.
I was rather proud of how it turned out. It might not be the first of its kind, but ive never seen another Paludarium with a see through waterfall and river. The cell phone pics are horrible and i probably shouldnt even post them because it doesnt do the tank justice. Hopefully ill be able to take better pics later on when i get a new battery for my cam. Let me know what you think!

Looks really nice. I love the rock wall in the back. If I was to add anything it would be more plants and such for the tree frogs to hide and climb in. Other than that it looks great!

looks pretty cool... maybe not as full of tree as I would imagine a tree frog would like, but cool none the less.

Well the last tank i made for him had all kinds of plants and sticks and vines for him to climb on, and 90% of it went unused. He only uses his one stick, the one on the right side of this tank. Other than that hes either on the glass, his rock, or chillin halfway in the water. Its also much easier for him to hunt in this tank because off all the space he has to move. It wasnt intended for him, but he seems much happier in there than his old tank. Im still gonna move him and use that tank for RCC's eventually. Kramers next home might me a 50 tall multi-species Paludarium. I know the risks, but ive done it before with great success. Hopefully this one will go just as well.

Keep in mind they're noctural. They look like they don't move around much but if you were to check on it in the middle of the night I bet your frog is all over that tank exploring.

Yea i have some LED's in the hood that i turn on at night for a little bit to watch him. Theyre dark blue and pretty dim and he doesnt even seem to notice them. Either that or he just doesnt care. At night hes always on the rock wall hunting for crickets. For the first few days he roamed around and checked stuff out, but now he basically stays in certain areas unless hes hunting. I stuck a few little sticks of Manzanita Driftwood in there last night and he doesnt pay them any attention. He knocked one over because it was in his path to get to his rock lol

Thanks man! It isnt your typical tree frog tank...but this isnt your typical tree frog either. Ive owned dozens over the years and this one definitely has a unique personality. Not to mention hes the only tree frog ive ever had the prefers to spend his time on the ground or in the water. I saw him for the first time yesterday. He mis-judged a big jump while trying to get a cricket and ended up in the water. He could touch the bottom, but instead he swam to the side. It was pretty wild!
