I finally gave in and bought a male betta from PetCo. After working there I like buying from there even less, but I couldnt pass this guy up. Lol, I even went across the street to PetSmart, but came back 10 minutes later to snag him. He was labeled as a delta. Its kind of hard to tell in the pix but he is a really cool iridescent silver, and has lavender undertones on the base of his anal ad tail fins, also has bright red pelvic fins. Anyway, here he is. :D

Thanks! I think he is amazing. Haha I sat and watched him for almost an hour.

The gravel is really cool. It's like almost sand. I use it for my Senegal bichir too and I love it. I have only found it at small local stores, they buy it in bulk and sell it by the pound as "natural sand." Its nice because it isn't silica based like most sands are and is almost too heavy for my siphon to pick up.

He is settling in well and seems to be enjoying the company of his danio friends. I am very pleased with him.
