Hi there I was wonding if we can put congo tertas in our tank with the fish we have now.

We have: Black skirts, blue tertas, roseys, tiger barbs, two Bn plecos, and one Medusa pleco.

will the congo tertas be fine or will they eat the small blue tertas and other fish too?

Congos are pretty active and get about 4" long. They're peaceful as long as nothing looks like they can swallow it.How big is your tank? Anything less than 3' long I'd say no. They should be kept in groups of at least 6, preferably 60. And if you do get them here's one little piece of advice. As pretty as you think they are with overhead lighting you need to see them lit by light coming over your shoulder, hitting the fish and bouncing back to you! A sunny window or a well positioned spot light will turn them into breathstealing showstoppers!

Get a dozen or two!

FYI, it's Tetras not Tertas...lol
I figured maybe it was just a typo but you spelled it the same 5X.

Silly answer: No, cause there is no such thing as a Terta

Real answer: If you have a 200g, why the heck not! In my experience they are a bit more aggressive than say, your black skirts. Yet, in a tank that big I don't think you will really have issues.

They should be a great addition to your tank. I have found them to be peacefull, even timid. I have a few tiny Endlers livebearers in the tank and they ignore them.

Added 3 to my tank yesterday....my blue tetra seems to be the bully of all the tetras I have in there though (the rest of his 'school' has been gone for a while). I may add a couple more in the near future to re-create the school though, maybe it'll tame him out a bit.
