ive had it for 2-3 years now and it has been working great, I went to unplug it and plug it back in and it didn't come back on, ive tried it on other outlets but no go...
what should I do, take it apart.
Smack the side of it kind of hard with it plugged in, it will restart. I have an old Mag5 I have to smack to get going that I use for waterchanges.
When you can, take it out and run it in a bucket of 10% vinegar water for a while to clean it. You can also order a replacement impeller for them which you should replace anyway every few years.
I have one (9) that does that once in awhile and I take the impeller out and clean it and it starts working fine.

I've had to take them apart to clean them before, I usually take out the impeller assembly and soak the whole thing in pure vinegar for 24 hrs then rinse well. Gets off most of the buildup in the impeller well.
