View Full Version : Cory Eggs
Well it is a few days after my recent tank move and my cories have just layed eggs for the first time. The 3 are an albino (the biggest and probably the female), a peppered and a bronze (whom I assume is the dad). Anyway I don't really care how many eggs survive (a couple would be nice) but how long should I expect to wait before they hatch?
According to this site, they only take 4-6 days to hatch.

I have peppered cories who love dropping eggs, you should probably look more towards 3 to 6 days. I usually leave them in the tank without separating, there are plenty of hiding spots. I know there are those that do make it as sometimes I can spot a new smaller guy amongst the rest....and if you are particularly fond of them, the little ones are adorable.

Well, mine just did it on their own. I do have a pretty thick arrangement of plastic plants in the bck corner of my 55 that they prefer. I'd try setting up something like that. Otherwise, mine simply take things into their own fins ;)
Well I di ddo a massive water chnage due to the move, probably 70% or so. Maybe that helped move things along. At first I thought the bronze cory was trying to eat my eggs but now I it looks more like he is constantly cleanign them.
