Okay,

I think I got the fresh water thing down. My plan is to make the SW plunge with a thiry gallon tank. I have an old Emporer 400 around. If I romove the bio wheels will this suffice for starters, maybe put floss in the media tray to filter particles. :confused:

I'll keep reading until I finish the stand and hood and get the tank. Just wanted to see if I can start of with the 400 for water flow.

With. It will be your main source of bacteria till the live rock gets nice and established. I run my 55g that I have had for 4 years with the Biowheels and all is great. Anyway, hope this helps.
