i am thinking of replacing a bio wheel filter with an amiracle sl-15 that a Friend gave me. i was told the bio wheel filter agitated the water to much for a diy co2 setup. should i take the bio wheel out or just let both filters run? i have a hot magnum 250 in there also. thanks
Anything that disrupts the surface of the water will significantly aid the dispersal of CO2 in an injected tank.
The best environment is created when you see as little movement as possible.

Yea, you basically want as little surface agitation as possible for a planted tank. That is why so many people have canister filters on their planted tanks, because you can point the water return where you want from in the water. You can have tons of surface movement or none at all.
