I gut load my crickets with tropical fish flakes, dry dog food and crushed cereal. I also give them any leftover veggies like potatoes, carrots and lettuce. Make sure you have a water source for them. Avoid dishes of water because they're pretty dumb and will drown in it. I use Fluker's Cricket Quenchers to hydrate them. Sometimes I use banana or mango baby food for that job too.
Give them lots of dark hiding places. I use paper towel rolls and egg cartons for that. Keep them dry but well hydrated. You don't want moisture to build up in the tank. Don't let them get too cold either. I try to keep the temperature for them in the low to mid 70's. Room temp is usually fine too.
