i leave tuesday morning. it starts with a 30 hour plane ride to kuwait. on or about the 24th i fly into northern iraq. talk to you when i get i iraq.

In less than 48 hours, I have to say goodbye, your going to have to walk away from us, Breeze, Caine and I. Its going to be longest year of our lives. I Don't want to go to sleep knowing when we wake up its that much close to your leaving. I dont know how I am going to do this without you. I cannot tell you these things in person, I choke on the tears, and dont want to upset you, so I will put it here. I keep thinking about the empty spot at the table, in our bed. Ch, Br: I won't deny that this will be a difficult time for your family, and I thank you for being willing to sacrifice this time together. The biggest price a man can pay is time with his wife and children. Some things are worth it. From what I've seen of the both of you on the forum, I am certain that you will make it through this deployment just fine. It will be hard, but it WILL end. The four of you will be united again, to live happily ever after. I know it's hard, but the worst thing you can do is count the days. If you count, they will drag. Do your best to live your lives until the day that you are reunited. Remember, the time apart will be short relative to your lives together. Before long, it will seem to have been a bad dream. Stay strong.
