anyone have one of these guys? elliots cichlid or golden firemouth ive seen em called on sites. the LFS has a few of them and they are pretty looking and reports seem to say they are pretty relaxed and dont get over 6". i was thinking about getting them to add to a 55 with a few keyholes, a jurupari, and a bristlenose. i have also read they are rare which makes me want to get them before there gone for sure. any info?

T. ellioti aka T. Maculipinnis. I have 4 of them. They are about 3" right now...living in 72g tank.

The ph in my tank is neutral with temp around 75-80 degree. I feed them frozen bloodworm, brine shrimp, and hikari gold.

Here is an article from Juan Miguel Artigas Azas.

hows there temperament? think i could do a pair with some keyholes or would a single specimen present less aggressive tendencies?

Mine are quite calm and curious about their surrounding. I don't believe you'll have problem keeping a pair with keyhole.
