Hi,
I have a 46 gallon tank with 4 angelfish, 3 clown loaches, 1 gourami and 1 synodontis. The tank has been established for 6 years and I've had the angels for 5 years. No problems until now. One of my angels is turning circles and swimming upside down. After research it looks like swim bladder and I've got him in a hospital tank being treated with Maracyn 2. Does anyone have any experience with this? Not sure which med to use and also, does he have any shot at getting better?
All water parameters are normal, nothing unusual has happened and everyone else is good. Maybe he's just the weakling? Any thoughts....
Thanks so much

Not sure, what are your water parameters?

Any other symptoms? Bloating, discoloration, not eating, hiding, fin damage, redness, anything else at all?

How often does the angel go upside down etc? I have an angel who will deliberately roll upside down, float on his side etc but it is only early in the mornings/late in the day that he does it.

Any other time he acts completely normal, if he still acts fine other than this then it might be just the fish playing.

I had angels that did that too! but it was a big mistake on my part! I did 50% w/c overnite & forgot to add Prime. morning they were all gasping - 3 did the swan dive 3 were strong enough to survive. I immediately added triple the dosage, they recovered in less than 10min.!

but that isn't your problem. I think air in the bladder syndrome.
