so discus live in all of those rivers, and all fish that live in the wild with discus will take the same temp range as discus in aquariums.

There will be slight temp variations depending on depth, elevation, sun exposure, etc. but generally, the will tolerate the same temps...

It is hard to say since a lot of South American waters are largely unexplored.

so can anyone say exactly, out of the rivers in the pic above, that for sure discus live in such and such river.
I am wondering about the bottom feeders in the area.
right now iam using planetcatfish for the names of rivers certain plecos come from and if those rivers for sure are ome to discus from you guys and this thread has been quite successful.
so discus are mid to top water fish or what?

i have no idea because i am not an importer. If you ask someone who imports fish from south america they will probably be able to tell you.

Discus and Angels in my belief are from the Amazon river and its main tributaries. Now as for bottom feeders, huge schools of corydoras inhabit the Amazon river.
Take a look at this video! ;)

Try mongabay.com. Its a really cool site that has a bunch of different biotopes. Take some of the names from the rivers on the map that TwoTankAmin posted and you can search those rivers. What will come up is a list of all known fish and plant species from that river. I can't remember for sure, but you may be able to look up the fish itself and find out what rivers it is from.

Look up Orinoco.
the Orinoco watershed makes up most of the habitat for Discus and Angels , not to mention multitude of other SA fish.
in this region you will find numerous habitats which will vary depending on the season.
discus often take advantage of the high water season to find flooded areas that will fit their needs.
they often are trapped in large flooded areas and are subject to warmer waters.
the same can be said of the Angels.
the plecos tend to inhabit the moving waters, often rivers with large driftwood piles.
the Orinoco watershed is huge so you will find a diverse habitat.
