Quick question about silk worms

I drove a couple extra miles the other day and found a pet store with some different feeder insects available. One was silk worms. I was interesting in adding them to the list of things that I feed my pixie frog, but was concerned about the nutritional value of them.

If I were to add them to his diet are they like wax worms were they are mainly fatty and shouldn't be fed very often? If I decide to feed them how often would I be able to feed them? Currently he eats crickets and superworms and about 5 large earthworms a week. He is only about 3.5 to 4 inches long.

If I could get a hold of them easily my male pyxie frog would be eating them daily. I could probably even breed them because I have a bunch of mulberry trees behind my house which is what silkworms feed on.

Not really. People have been keeping and breeding silkworms for hundreds of years. They're actually so domesticated that they are extinct in the wild. The problem is that they eat only one food source: Mulberry Tree leaves. If you don't have plenty of these on hand, your worms will die of starvation.
