Only complaint that I have is that I would like a tracking number for my shipment emailed to me as it is shipped out. I always call and get it, but it would be much better to just have it emailed when shipped.....

Most already stated our opinions in another thread on the topic of big als, but I feel they need some work. They ship slowly to many out there, some of which live close to their warehouse. They have average-to-cheap prices on certain things, but again...shiping is a huge issue with me.

I'll stick with Drs. Foster and Smith, like stated in the other thread. ;)

So far so good. They usually ship it within 2 days........but then I get to wait for the slooooow ground shipping they use. I have made 6 orders within the last 5 weeks and all arrived within 7 days in perfect shape and nicely packaged. And you can not beat the deals they offer on the items I ordered.

I used them a few times and never had a problem. I like how orders over 35$ dont' have to pay shipping(atleast in canada). Prices are cheaper then buying at the LFS.

But now i found tha tit is cheaper buying from online stores based in teh states(i used www.petsolutions.com). Even after changing it into canadian and paying shipping it still comes out way cheaper then i can find anywhere around here(ex. AC 300 at big al's around 40$, I got mine from petsolutions for 24$can)

I started out using bigals, but the shipping time was way to slow 7 to 10 days. I use petsolutions, I place an order in the morning and its at my house the next day. They are a tad bit higher priced than bigals. But for a higher priced item I would still use bigals.

There is a very large differnce in prices between them and the LFS's. The LFS charge almost double what they charge. I would willing to wait 2-3 weeks to get the stuff. Great place to save money. No complaints what so ever.

I think they are "good", but also think the Tracking Number should be given and not requested.

Very satisfied. Big Al's is a trade; low prices instead of quick and easily traceable shipping. If I want it fast, I use petsolutions.com also very good.

When I need to get something online at big al's they take a pretty long time to get here....other than that though i think that they have everything going in their favor

I had 2 awful experiences with big als that ended up getting involved with the director of online sales. i had several exchanges with him to try to square things up. I live in California and it took several weeks from the time i placed my orders to get my products. I'd rather spend the extra dollar or two and go to

www.Drsfostersmith.com or www.thatfishplace.com

Drs Foster and Smith are nearly identical in pricing and have a WAY more professional business. Oh, and you get your items within a week!!!!!

I like BigAls for the most part - but again as with all the other complaints - shipping is slow which is my ONLY complaint. I like PetSolutions but I really can not buy from them because I live 10 minutes from their Corporate / Warehouse so I get charged for tax and shipping. I have called and they do not allow pickups either. PetSolutions is my LFS as well - www.jackspets.com but they charge WAY more than their online sibling. Grrr. So I use BigAls - I usually am never in a hurry anyway because I like to keep things stocked - not have to buy them right away.
