10 gallon

I Have a 10 gallon just sitting around I have all the stuff for it just ripped it down one day. I have a 55 g with a full grown oscar in it. He doesn't like or have room for a tankmate. My 20 gallon is pretty much my wifes with guppies and stuff. Would the 10g Make a good small cichlid tank or would I just watse my time? I need suggestions for small cichlids like the ones that just say cichlids on the tank at the LFS. You know the yellow and purple ones. Thanx in advance.

shellies-n.brevis or n.multifasciatus
l.stappersi is my favorite-there are a few dwarf tanganyikans you can buy for that tank
