Ok so I got today a free 29 gallon tank which im pretty sure is going to wind up a thread-fin rainbow tank. I also got for free a wet/dry filter system but the down side of that is I dont even know if I have all the right stuff for it lol! So here my friends is my question to you! How does this thing go together? I've never owned a salt tank but have plans for one in the future so I figure take the time and piece it together considering my incomes low at the moment. Do I even have all the parts? Its been sitting in someone my friend know's garage since im guessing forever because the guy doesn't have any tanks any more. So this is what I have can you guys piece it together? lol also I think im going to use the awesome new products in the tanks I have all ready established they still seem good to me! Thanks in advance everyone!

Lol I had some people look but no one knows how it goes together? Are these things really that out dated? I mean come on people still use under gravel filters they must still be using these on salt tanks!

I just don't know a dang thing about them, lol. I know several people have said they swear by thy wet/drys, so I guess it would be worth a shot. I would throw the medications and stuff away though.

I planed on throwing that stuff away it looks ancient! Or maybe ill keep it around as a antique fish treatment set? Thanks anyways Kyryah!

Check out the instructions for the ProClear Aquatics Model 125. It should be very similar to the wet/dry in the pics you posted above. It look s like you have pretty much everything there except for the prefilter, U-tube, and the inlet to the drip tray, all of which can be easily home made.

On my Wet/dry (ProCLear 75), I just bypassed the pre-filter with a DIY HGB standpipe (see Stockman, Durso, or HGB stand pipe).

I wouldn't throw that setup away, as long as it holds water you've got a nice filtration system there.

BTW heres a side view of my overflow for reference:

And my wet/dry (very similar to yours):
