I decided to come to the experts and find out what some of these little guys are that continue to grow on the LR. The first photo has an orange jelly mass growing. When I first got the rock it was hard and white. I figured whatever had been growing on it died during shipment to my home. The second and third photo is a hermit crab of some kind. I found about 50-80 of them all stuck to what looked to be a dryer sheet during high tide at assateague Island this past June. The first pic shows the kind of shell they were all in. I took them back to camp. For over an hour I took each little guy off of this material. Sadly most of them were dead. Here's the thing.........don't scold me too bad okay???:D I brought the 15 that survived and plunked them down in my tank. They have been doing great. The crazy thing that I have noticed about them, they will not climb the rocks. They only stay on the floor and boy can they run!! Can anyone id these little guys? Next photo....could that be some kind of anemone? I'm feeding it so I hope it's something "good". Next photo is the white thing that seems smooth to touch but squishy. Next pic is a bit blurry. These guys close up to nothing when I move rock so photo taking is a pain. next is a white filament of some kind. They almost look like little trees. Some of them are pink. The 8th photo is a peachy color w/irrid. green sheen. They have pointy tips that balloon out. They to disappear when the rock is moved a bit. The very last photo is a better close-up. PPHHHEEEWWWWWW! Okay I am finally done. Does anyone have a couple of ideas? By pointing me in the right direction, I can do a little research on these misfits. Thanks all!

My, looks like you got some very nice rock. Let's see:

1. a small faviid coral
2 & 3. Some hermit crab species. Keep an eye on it and its size
4. corallimorph, probably a young Pseudocorynactis.
5. Sponge
6. An encrusting Porites coral
7. Bryozoans (white tree-looking animals)
8. If you are referring to the white string, that is likely a terebellid worm, which is harmless.
9. Zoanthid and looks like a Palythoa species
10. difficult to tell. Could be one of the frillier, meatier zoanthids or a pest anemone. If you can get a shot that shows the top of it, it can be narrowed down further. Try to get as close and clear as possible.

Amphiprion, Thanks for taking the time to look over everything. I agree w/ram, Quite impressed!!! Now to go do a little research.....I would have been researching for no-names a very long time. lol I never noticed the worm in the photo. Photo 8 and photo 10 are the same little group of whatevers. The darn things close whenever I bump the rock to bring it closer to the glass. It almost reminds me of a very small version of the gonioporas I've seen on the net. Thanks for the info.
