At present time I am filtering my 29 gallon with an AC 110 which has 11 pygmy's and 8-10 cherry shrimp. The filter has a sponge from an old AC 70 filter over the intake but I want a smaller filter so as to eventually breed the pygmy's. I was thinking seriously on an AC 50 but I didn't know if it would produce enough to keep the tank filtered and looking good, however the pygmy's and shrimp do not produce much of a bio load. If I got a sponge filter I'd only want one large enough for the tank, any suggestions. THANKS.
