Wow a nice good mistake by my local fish store. I bought my green severum like a month and a half ago. He was supposebly a ''green severum.'' He was about 1-2.5'' and only 5 dollars. After good feeding and plenty of water changes he has deveploed some red markings on his face... WHIPPIE! I have a rotkiel severum to add to my rare fish collection along side my dats, niger cat, and irwini cat. I'll have pics soon.
Just can't believe I scored a rotkeil severum for 5 bucs..

Post a pic if you can. My green Severum has red worm markings on his face also but he's just a regular green Severum.

yep

post a pic of yours so I can compare..... I'll have pics later
I do have a possiblity that it is rotkeil because they are rotkiel breeding pair at my lfs so a babie can have gotten mixed in with the green.

This is a picture of my male when he was on light colored sand but it shows the red lines. On dark sand his base color is darker yet he still has the red worm markings on his face.

Like I said-it's hard to tell without a picture of your actual fish. But if yours has the big blotch of solid red like the pic you posted then I'd have to agree with you.

well here are some crappy pics... probably can't see the orange.. pics taken after a big water change so hes probably stressted. will try for better pics tommrow.
