Hi everyone.

I shipped out some goldfish, and they arrived to this lady dead. She had the nerve to ask for her money back. I required her to sign for them. Take a look at the date in the tracking number when I shipped the goldfish out, and when she actually signed for them.

This lady is crazy....

WOW. I have my postal office call me when specific packages carrying fish arrive. I usually get the call in the morning. early.
Thats rediculous. No refund shoudl be given unless the fish are picked up on the date they arrived

no offense, but if you are running a BUSINESS, you need to be careful about discussing such matters online. this is a situation that should remain between you and your customer. this is what professionalism is all about.

Sorry, I forgot it had her name on it. I just wanted everyone see the tracking information. I just don't want this to happen to anyone on here. BTW, she is not on MFK or AC. I will do the tracking information this way, so no name is seen.

I live in Maryland I will go to her house and see if this is a hoax. I am thinking that she received the fish but had a ploy with the mailman to say she signed it just that day, so she can play it off as a DOA.

conspiracy!

Why didnt she contact you after a few days and not receiving them? i know I would..

Yeah... Entirely her fault, no two ways about it. How some people manage even to just survive the rigors of their daily life is beyond me. Lady sounds like a real "winner."

She waits over two weeks to pick up her fish and it's your fault they're dead? Well, duh!

My post office wouldn't even hold a parcel that long before returning it to sender or abandoning it. I suppose it would have been a bigger insult if you had to pay to get your dead fish back.

Not only should she not get her money back, I'd accuse of her being cruel to those fish by leaving them to die at the post office.
She should have emailed you to let know there's a problem that she can't pick up the fish for some reason or they haven't arrived yet./ are lost/.And that problem better be some kind of emergency.

I'll bet the package started to reek... I don't get people, if she wanted to wait until the time was more convenient or whatever the case, why didn't she just go to the LFS?

I like the idea of involving her local animal cruelty officer! Certainly this qualifies as animal neglect right? I wish fish had more clout in the minds of most people.

The fish are smarter than she is but unfortunately they couldn't call for help.

To fish people, yes, that's disgusting as all "heck", but you are unfortunately right with your last statement. Fish are seen as disposable objects and possessions more than companion animals to most of the rest of the world...and thus this probably doesn't legally qualify as neglect.
