I have been planning a goldfish tank in the back of my mind and here it is finally realized.


This tank is in my bedroom at the foot of my bed. I still can't believe how perfectly it matches the images I had in my head when planning it.

Elisina (recycled the name from my last collection of goldies http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif ) my favorite type of calico because their pattern resembles a japanese water color painting:

Beautiful bubble eye, too-- and a perfect tank to keep him/her in. This is a champion goldie set up. Nice work!

Thanks everyone for the very nice reviews, I appreciate the kindness :)


I caught some flak on another forum because of the stock level and because of the ornament.

I don't plan on keeping all the golds in this tank long term, ultimately I will have five fish in there.

I will remove the ornament later on as well as the golds become too big to fit in there to avoid injuries.

I would tell the other forum to get over it. Those fish have a good deal of room, all of them are fancies, and as long as you are keeping up with water changes and have good filtration, you're fine. The only problem might be the bubble eye with the little pagoda thing, but it is a clear tank with flat rocks. I say, keep up the good work-- they look happy and healthy. Not all goldfish are shubunkins or comets. It's a lovely tank! :)

haha cool thank you for the very kind words.

I don't know if I mentioned it but I'm running an xp3 on this tank, and a Hydor Koralia 2 that keeps the floor clean. So far it's working perfectly!

thank you, I could've taken clearer pics if I hada proper light, but all I'm running is an 8w CF bulb, I borrowed my roommates light to take pics lol

I'm getting a 4' bulb today though.
