I don't know if anyone remembers, but a few months ago, my tank crashed.. .

Anyway, I bleached all of my live rock and live sand, and I'm doin a fresh start.

I'll be adding a 5" sandbed, and about 50 lbs of the bleached rock. By the way, it'll be a 90 g reef.

I'll be purchasing another 50lbs or so of live rock, and some live sand, to seed the rest of the tank..

My question is, am I waiting for the tank to fully cycle before adding any live rock, or should it be OK to add it right away ? ? ?

Thank you...

As long as no fish are in the tank it should be fine to just add it. If you are getting it over the internet it will need time to cure which will go through an ammonia and nitrite spike while some organisms die off due to being exposed to air. Even if buying from the lfs I would still predict it will have a small cycle. Anyway, hope this helps and hope this answers your question.

Thanks dude... So I guess I'll add the lr/ls after a day or 2, and after the cycle, continue with the cleanup crew, and fish . . .

Thanks again.. :)
