i was checking the water parameters last night and my tank appears to be cycled.ammonia, and nitrite zero. nitrate not detected. i am going to go to the LFS and have them double check for me and then i will add a centropyge. tank cycled in a little over 2 weeks. LR really helps to cycle fast.

Please don't add an Angel this soon. It will only die. They need VERY established tanks and it is not recommended to buy one until the tank is at least 6 months old. Same goes for Butterfies and Tangs. Go with hardier fish like Basslets, and Clowns, and Gobies, and Blennies and such. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.

too late. i purchased a CB. he hid all day yesterday.
but this morning he is all over the tank and looking very happy.
55g /w 100lbs. LR all to himself. he is eating from the rocks and the backs and sides of the glass, and from the heaters where there is a good bit of algaes. i put a tiny pinch of prime reef flake in but he still doesnt trust me so close to the tank.he allows me bout 5 feet to view him.i have a large variety for him to eat from because this is not my only tank.but he is going to be the main fish.i was thinking about adding a neon goby and a algae blennie.
and then after a while some polyps and mushrooms.
