What happened to my assassin egg?

About a week ago or less I posted on here that I saw my first assassin egg. Now, it is no longer on the plant. Obviously, I know hatching might be the reason, but do these things hatch in a week or less? I'm pretty good about paying attention to this tank.

Also, can there be something in the tank eating the eggs? The tanks is stocked with assassins (obviously), RCS, MTS, ramshorns, and pond snails. I recently had some hydra in the tank but treated them yesterday and now it looks like they are just shriveled up little balls. However, the egg was missing yesterday before I treated for the hydra.

Anybody have any ideas other than that the egg hatched?

I just love my Assassin Snails. Even though I had them for over 4 months now and from day 1 they laid tons of eggs around the tank they have not exploded in numbers. I have kept them in 82 degree water since then. Hope this helps.

The assassins grow very slow, mine were juvi when I got them. I do not have any eggs yet.

my assassins have exploded in pop. unfortunately, I have yet to see any eggs in my planted 60g breeder. Maybe the egg has been their longer then when you noticed?
