Ok, was out of town and could not buy one. I know it was NOT a cana, I know what they look like. It had a shell that looked exactly like a brigss/diffusa but was twice as big as a full grown one, there were several in the tank. Only saw wild striped large ones. I've had brigss 2 years old that were only half the size of these guys. What could they be (they were at a walmart)?

Some brigs get huge! I have one (big momma lol) she is probably 3 times the size of the normal full grown adult brig. She is huge! So I would guess that they just had a good selection of brigs at that store. (very surprised if its Walmart).

PS I call her Big Momma because shes huge and keeps laying tons and tons of clutches.

Ha! that's the first thing I did when I got home Jpap. Only thing to consider is the difference between diffusa and bridgesii bridgesii, with the latter being much larger. But then it says that they are not available in the aquarium trade.

interesting. ive seen these so much, but i just havnt bought a brig yet.....

ps when i saw you name i thought it was mgamer instead of reframer......

sounds like a haustrum
