Attention all AquariaCentral.com guys, ghouls, ghosts, goblins, witches and zombies! Fall is in the air and Halloween is right around the corner. In honor of this most ghoulish of fall holidays, we are sponsoring a new contest.

Its time for all of you to tap into your creative side and create your most terrifying jack-o’-lantern ever! Go to your local market and pick up a pumpkin and get carving your own original design!

Submit your picture to contest@aquariacentral.com and let the mayhem begin! Grand prize will be awarded to the winning pumpkin following a member voting period. Please see below for all contest rules and regulations. Happy Halloween and good luck!

Requirements:

All entries must be original work completed by the AC member, NO pre-bought stencils please!
Participating members and staff must have a post count of 50 posts or higher to qualify for the contest.
to prove authenticity of the pumpkin, you will have to add the letters "AC" somewhere on the pumpkin (either carve the letters or mark it with a marker).. Just a small little carving is fine, so your creative work isn't compromised.




Guidelines:


• We will ship the prize worldwide.

• Aquariacentral and any affiliated Aquariacentral sponsor(s) reserve the rights to deny or reject any participant. Only one number per member, no member is allowed to attempt registering under more than one member name/identity on Aquariacentral.

• In the case of Damage or Lost in the mail of a complimentary (free) raffle, there will not be a replacement prize.

• By entering this raffle, you are confirming and agree to have done in full - completely and comprehensively reviewed the terms/rules that apply and you have complied to hold no liability to either Aquariacentral or any of affiliated Aquariacentral sponsor(s) in violation of any State and/or Local law(s) in your Country/State (and/or within that Country/State).

• To participate, a member must be 18 years old. If under the age of 18, your parent's/guardian's permission is required. It does not have to be scary at all, last year we got alot of fish themes as well.

worse case, if you wanna absolutely make it scary, just add a small picture of Niko on there somewhere. It'll add all the gore effect you need..


But yeah, like jinksy said, no need for it to be scary at all..

What if you're 13 and you have permission from your parents? But your parents don't have an account on AC?

The rules say that if you were allowed to become a member of AC (assuming with parental permission) than you can enter as its assumed they give the permission for that as well.

you can make your pumpkin last longer by cutting it out and putting vasoline on all the cut out places. after that if it starts to dry out you can also put it in a bucket of water only covering about 3/4 of the pumpkin. it will soak up the water overnight and look new again. if you leave it in water for days it will rot and be mush.

they usally last for 2-3 weeks max after there cut if you dont let it get to dried out.

I have a question: I carved mine (before finding out about the contest) and it's awesome, but it's from a clip art that I modified into a carving pattern. Does that fall outside the rules?

If so, is there a place where I can post it anyway just to show off and not enter? It's a pretty goldfish, and it's the first time I've ever carved something decent so I'm really proud of it. :goldfish:
