I posted a few days ago that my tank had ich and that I was using Ick-Clear to dose the tank. Well, after a few days, the ich doesn't seem much better and 2 of the fish have a clear, cloudy film over their eyes.

It's an African cichlid tank and none of them really have many white dots, but the pleco in the tank has a TON of white dots. But, the other fish are scraping against objects in the tank and just look uncomfortable so it's obvious they aren't feeling well either.

Any tips on what I should do? Should I heat up the tank and add salt IN ADDITION to the Ick-Clear?

Also, when adding salt, would I put all of the salt in at the same time or just gradually add the salt.

What is your tank temp? And what are the instructions for the ich med?

A cloudy film over the eye is usually caused by a bacterial infection. Are you sure that your fish are infected with ick? Look into pictures of velvet and other disease to make sure.

The tank temp is 76. The directions say to dose tank once every 24 hours with a 25% water change prior to each dosage.

I know for a fact that the pleco has ich because he has a good bit of white spots. The africans don't have NEARLY as many spots (some have none), but they all are noticeably uncomfortable and are flashing against tank objects. Many times they will hover near the surface as well.

They are still eating, though.

What I want to know is if I can add salt and increase the temperature also?
