comonly called striped anostomus, scientific name Anostomus anostomus

best behaved as a single specemin or as a group 7 or more

vegetable diet... algae and such is what it eats will also eat live foods such as mosquito larva and small worms

it lives it fast flowing shallow rivers and streams with rocky bottoms

likes a strong current in the aquarium gets to 7 inches

I used to have one of those guys..incredible fish...very cool, but he was quite the hellion and wouldn't let anyone near him.
