i got 8 rummy nose tetras, and as theyve been in the bag for an hour, i was checking them out..and noticed ONE little ick spot on one of the rummies...is there anyway to make sure it wont spread to everyone else in the bag/tank? i dont have a QT..what should i do?

would like a salt dip do anything good, or..?

Chances are, if one has it, they all do. Ich can be inside their gills or nostrils where you can't see it. If they all came from the same tank at the store, they're probably all infected.
Taking them back to the store may be the best bet. They should refund you for sick fish. Or, if you really want to keep them, find a way to quarantine. Even if you don't have a tank, you can QT with a bucket and an airstone. As far as I know, there's no dip that will treat ich.

You can't treat the disease on the fish. You have to kill it when it's freeliving in the water. Therefore, you can only treat by risking all your stock. Take them back.

they are already in my tank now.

all i have is 1 ram and 12 rummies in the tank, so ill just wait 2-3 weeks before i add anything new.

Are you going to treat the tank with anything?
If it's really just one spot, it could theoretically be scar tissue or something. Keep an eye out for more spots appearing and/or the fish flashing or scratching themselves on stuff in the tank.

if more spots develop im going to do the salt/heat method. im just gona wait and see.
